Party Venues

Venue hunting is really quite difficult but exciting! Here are some lists of venues in Metro Manila, hope it helps!

  Siri Events Place in Novaliches QC

 Searching for affordable party venue nowadays is quite challenging when it comes to party planning particularly if involves cutting the budget. Since pandemic days, party place becomes our least priority since we limit events to intimate gatherings. Bottomline is, why would we spend a lot to venues if we have limited guests only? Some might consider spending much to food and decorations in having intimate parties.

            Good thing we have found one cozy, home-like, affordable events place in the heart of Novaliches QC. Spacious enough for 50-70 guests. It can accommodate up to 100 people provided you will occupy the alfresco area. Having their free use of family/ bridal room is a big plus! It helps us feel more comfy in the party place. Pantry and kitchen is big. Caterers can manage to settle properly their stuff. Fyi, no corkage to all caterers. This is really a budget-friendly event place. 

                 The place has indoor parking space good for 3 cars, then the rest is street parking for the guests. But don't worry, Siri Events Place is inside a subdivision, guaranteed our parking is safe. Speaking of safety, Siri Events Place is practicing social distancing. They also provide contact tracing monitoring, thermal scanner, alcohol, hand sanitizer etc.etc. 😊

                   Siri Events Place has their inhouse caterer as well. You can try their food during their weekly food tasting event for free registration. Andrea North Clubhouse
    Located in N. Domingo St. cor. Balete Drive QC. Very accessible to commuters. The venue is fully air-conditioned and glass wall to wall. Spacious and  nice to set up.Venue capacity is around 150 - 200 guests, they have small functions too at the roof deck. 




Greenhills East Community Hall
            Located in East Greenhills Mandaluyong City. Infront of Sanctuario De San Jose Church. The venue can accommodate 50-80 pax inside the function hall but they have big space outside where you can put other party amenities like food carts, photo booth, game booth etc. Maintenance and Clubhouse personnel are very accommodating. Fully air-conditioned venue. They have buffet table already inside so no need to bring one. They also have wash area outside for the caterer and perfect ventilation outside the party hall. Venue rental rate is P 7,000.00 plus P 3,000.00 cash bond refundable a week after the event.
       


Mount Carmel Parish Function Hall
           The place is very clean (thumbs up to the maintenance) specially the toilets, they are really clean. The venue is nice but they do really have very poor management. They charge caterer for a standard P1,500.00 corkage fee even the caterer is not the one who rented the venue..plus plus plus other fees charges for the venue electricity, maintenance etc.. tsk!tsk!tsk! Our experience in this venue was really bad for they were charging the caterer for damages and corkage but the one they have transaction with is directly the client. One friendly advice, have your contract with this venue cleared before booking. To caterers, have your contract also cleared and discussed with your clients especially when they are going to have this venue for their event. This venue is beside the church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Project 6 Quezon City. Downside, super strict with office personnel with no values! (I wonder how they become workers in a church) other thing: you can put limited decorations since they do not allow masking tapes, nails or anything that can damage the venue's walls and displays. You can tie strings to their curtain rods if you want to add decorations on their ceiling.This venue is good, people here are bad! Expect poor mannered people here especially in their office, from the start pa lang when u inquire, they are kinda "masungit" na :) They even have care takers on the venue during event na super bait namn but the office people said that person has no power over their venue's rules and policies so even we talked to that person walang count yun... so how come they leave their care takers on the venue during event days? who are we going to talk with if they have no office on our event days or time or weekends?



Parish of Mary the Immaculate Concepcion Function Hall
                 This is located at Wisdom St.Project 6 QC, very near St. Anne D' Baupre School. This place is so clean, they have separate entrance for their function hall. Spacious. Air-conditioned with extra fans, and they have really nice and accommodating office personnel. They are not very strict with set up time so they are guaranteed venue stylist-friendly :)  This venue is very good replacement for Mount Carmel (if you might be considering their small function). This venue can accommodate upto 80 pax. Venue rental is very affordable for only P3,500.00 (electricity charge included). UP Balay Kalinaw
            Located inside UP Campus in Quezon City. If you wish to have a classical themed party (or not), this is perfect for you! Very affordable rental rate at P 5,000.00 (I just don't know if I am updated). Air-conditioned venue with a classical receiving area outside the party place also. Located at the 2nd floor. Venue capacity 80-100 pax.


DAHHA Clubhouse
             Located in Don Victorino Quezon City, infornt of Ever Gotesco Commonwealth. The venue is nice, but they are very strict with time rental. Air-conditioned. They have sofa (kinda old sofa) at the waiting area near the entrance. Built-in marble stage. Lighting is perfect. The venue is nice to set up but I don't like their toilet :( They have sound system you can rent for I think P 2,500.00 or you can also bring your own. Venue rental is P 8,000.00 plus plus plus :)


The Roxy Events Place
            This is located in Alfredo's Bldg. (Ground Floor) in the heart of Tomas Morato Quezon City. This is also a nice party place, actually a big dance studio on some other days concerted to party venue. They have wall-to-wall mirrors and venue divisions (since it is big). Venue rental rate depends on guests capacity: 50 or 100 pax. Rental starts at P 5,000.00. Just make sure to keep the venue clean specially after the party, remember: The Roxy is Roxy's baby!





Fun House Party Place
                     This venue has their own tables and chairs plus sound system, They provide the swags for ceiling, a little balloon decor and the stage too! Already included in P 5,000.00 rental rate but they have catering corkage and extra charges for electricity etc. Usually comes up with P 7,500.00 total rental including extra charges. Down side is they do not have their own comfort room, you have to use the public toilet of the Harrison Plaza mall (not so near the event place). Caterers and event suppliers will also enter the mall's entrance going to the party place not so near the entrance also. This venue is located at the second floor of Harrison Palaza Mall in Malate Manila.



Avida Towers Clubhouse
               This venue is located beside SM San Lazaro. P 5,000.00 rental rate, very affordable but they require sponsorship from Avida Towers tenant (you may call Pink Heaven Party Flavors 474-2232 for help). Can accommodate upto 200 guests, open air and well-ventilated. Party place is at the pool side, pool is not open to the public but can add to the perfect ambiance of the venue. They have pantry and wash area for the caterer and open parking infront of the venue.




ICT Woodlands Clubhouse
                Located in Malanday Valenzuela City. Well- ventilated venue at the pool side. You can also rent the pool area. Venue rental is P 5,000.00, venue capacity 50-70 pax. Very spacious parking in front and they have big pantry and wash area for the caterers also. 



 
Araneta Village Clubhouse
                Located at Araneta Village in Potrero Malabon. Very spacious venue can accommodate 150-200 pax. Open air venue rental is P 5,000.00 and they also have small function hall, air-conditioned  rental is      P 6,000.00. Huge playground outside the clubhouse. A lot of parking space too!. The toilets are clean. The maintenance and clubhouse people are very accommodating, you can also set up a day before your event so you don't need to rush.

Party planning 1-2-3:

1. Guest list. You must know your estimated number of guests first. Please include the unexpected guests like kasama ng kasama ng kasama ni invited mo ;) that usually happens.

2. Venue hunting. When you have set the number of guests already then let's do the venue hunting! Atleast we already know what venue capacity we need. This is really my favorite part of party planning :) it's like going to different places to another! Lakwatsa galore!





3. Theme setting. What is his or her favorite Cartoon Show? Super Hero? Disney Character? Etc.. There are lot of themes to choose from, we can also make color motif lang :)



 4. Suppliers List. Now, get ready with your suppliers list:
  • Catering
  • Balloon Decorator
  • Venue Stylist
  • Party Host
  • Entertainment
  • Side Activities
  • Cake and Cupcakes
  • Food Cart
  • Sound System
  • Photo Booth
  • Photo and Video Coverage
  • Other Party Requirements
You must have checklist on that. Also canvass sheet to compare prices of each supplier per category. One effective tip! YOU CAN SAVE MORE IF YOU HAVE FOUND A ONE STOP SHOP WITH EXCELLENT QUALITY OF SERVICE  AND AFFORDABLE AT THE SAME TIME. Check and double check on their party packages. Madami kasi "one stop shop" na super expensive because they also outsource from other suppliers so mark up plus mark up plus another mark up in the end sa'yo is equivalent to super marked up price! Next thing to do is to discuss all you need and all you want for the party with your chosen supplier/s or party planner.

5. Food Tasting. Food is the most important thing you have in your party. Food that you will serve to your guests. Of course you don't want to be criticized. You don't want any of your guests say something bad about anything you served them, so it is better to make sure that you will be serving only the best and delicious food . Schedule a food tasting with your caterer. If there is something you want to adjust with the menu or the taste or the presentation, let them know ASAP so they can adjust and be prepared. 

6. Invites Distribution. When is the best time to distribute invites? a week before the party?--- your guest might have prior plans already. a month?--- they might forget. I guess 2-3 weeks before the party is ideal. You can advice your guests also a month in advance to save the date for you then invites to follow. Nowadays, many people are using social networking sites such as Facebook to create an event or invitation. It is also very effective since they have accurate notifications :)

7. Me, myself and the celebrant.  Now, you are all set, remember that it is your special day or it is your special someone's special day so make it extra special. Make yourself the most beautiful person in the party (you really should be since you'll be facing all your guests in the party) Prepare the best dress that fits you or the celebrant. Put your make up on. Proper hygiene double check!

8. Get ready, be on time.  Not unless you have grand entrance, at least be as early as you can  so you still have time to check the venue and supplies.

9. Party! Party!  Relax and be happy. This is the happiest day of your life or your special someone's happiest day. Be the happiest. Enjoy and have fun! DO NOT BE STRESSED! YOU DON'T HAVE TO!  BE HAPPY AND ALWAYS SMILE  :D

Organizing Parties

Every parent wish to give their child the happiest birthday party for them. Sometimes we think that it is easy as 1-2-3, A-B-C...in reality, it is definitely not. There are a lot of things to consider for you to achieve your dream party for your kid:
First--- time management. This is one of the biggest factor you will consider in party preparation. Time is something you cannot buy and most of the time, hard to manage.
Second-- budget. Beautiful party celebration must not be much expensive! DIY's might be great help but still we need more help from experts for sure to make our work extravagant.
Third--- quality. Whew! Internet is really a huge market world. A lot of suppliers can be found in just one click away. The big question here is... Who among them has the quality of work i am looking for? Will they meet my expectations?
Fourth--- quantity. "sulit" means getting more that what you paid for. But what if it happens you have found a very affordable package (specially catering) but they serve a super tipid service also? What if you run out of food to serve to your guests provided you have exceeded your expected number of guests? Ashamed! What you should do? Call a jollibee od mcdo delivery friend? That is really embarrassing! Balloon decorations-- tipid teams usually do that also: "para may mailagay lang!" For the sake of work and purchase lalagyan ng decor. Remember, the reason why we buy decorations is for the sake of love and art. You have to make it as beautiful as you can as it will reflect your personality (as a party host) and it will also affect the mood of each and everyone in the party.
Fifth-- trust. Make sure your supplier is trustworthy and true to their words. Ofcourse, every salesman says the beauty in his words. They will attract you with their pitch. Make sure you'll achieve everything he will promise for your party.

It is not really easy to organize your own party but it is really fun and exciting!
